Welcome to my shiny new website!

After many, many months I have finally launched this new website to provide both current and future clients with more information about the services which Movement Physiotherapy provides.

This is particularly important at the moment, as we make our way through the phased exit from lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic.  It has been a very tough few months for everyone, but I have been busy providing distance support to many individuals and families, to help  optimise the effectiveness of home therapy programmes, and provide much needed emotional support. Remaining motivated to keep active has been another important are where I have been involved with individuals and families of all ages - advising on fun and engaging activities to do at home - both indoors and outdoors using everyday items and bits of kit that people already have.

Being flexible and innovative is a key element of my practice, and never has this been more essential than now. We have all had to adapt in some way, and it seems for me, and many other private physiotherapists, that new ways of working are here to stay.  I have been navigating the steep learning curve of providing effective remote sessions to clients old and new - finding new ways to interact, motivate and assess. In addition, I have been pushing my social media boundaries - getting to grips with LinkedIn and Twitter - you can now follow me using #movtphysio!

The completion of this website has also been a massive piece of work, but I'm just glad that it's finally live! There's still some tweaks to be made but I hope that it helps to provide me with a greater presence on the internet, allowing people to find out more about my services and access them more easily.  Please help me to get the word out there about my website by sharing the link with your friends, family and anyone else you think may be interested. www.movementphysiotherapy.co.uk.

I need to extend heartfelt thanks to a couple of very important people who have been pivotal in making this website a reality. Firstly a massive thanks to Mary Philip who designed both the website and my fabulous new logo. She took my very loose ideas and turned them in to a reality way back in December 2018! I am so grateful for her help in getting this project off the ground. Then secondly, to my new digital advisor Clare Bridson from 291 Media who has helped me with the final push to get the website finished, as well as providing me with expert advice to improve my media presence. Your support and encouragement has been invaluable. Thank you both so much for your patience and creative minds!

Lastly, many thanks to all my lovely clients and their families for allowing me to use their photographs on my website. I wanted this site to be a true reflection of what I do and the amazing people I am privileged to work with, rather than clinical and sterile stock pictures.

Thanks again for taking the time to look up Movement Physiotherapy, and for supporting my private practice. Here's to some exciting times ahead.

Best wishes , Kirsteen
